SEDONA, Ariz., October 9, 2009 – Twitter users from Sedona, Flagstaff, Cottonwood and surrounding areas will gather Tuesday October 20, 5:30 – 7:30 pm at the Hilton Sedona Resort and Spa for a monthly “Tweet-Up” to connect and raise money for the local Camp Soaring Eagle. Event tickets are priced at $10 per person and may be purchased at the door. All ticket proceeds will go to Camp Soaring Eagle’s building fund.
The monthly Sedona/Verde Valley Tweet-Ups are sponsored in part by Red Rock TV16 and the Hilton Sedona Resort & Spa. These informal mixer-style gatherings present incredible opportunities for Twitter-ers to learn how to maximize their presence on Twitter, discover new Twitter tools and gain ideas and insights on how to promote a business through social networking. Connecting local business owners to each other, the Tweet-Ups create a social networking community online and in person.
Attendees can purchase raffle tickets to win fabulous prizes, including one-of-a-kind art pieces donated by local artists and gift certificates to local businesses. Hilton Sedona has generously donated The Grille at ShadowRock patio to host the gathering, and will provide a cash bar for guests. For Twitter-ers traveling from afar to attend the event, the resort has created a special overnight package that includes a $20 food and beverage credit, a 50 percent discount for pet travelers, and of course free internet to allow Twitter guests to tweet all about their stay. The package starts at $139 per suite, contact 1.877.273.3762 for reservations.
“We always enjoy the opportunity to connect with both our online and local communities,” said Hilton Sedona Resort and Spa General Manager, Edgar Lozoya. “This Tweet-up is especially significant because we’re able to help raise funds for a commendable cause.”
